As
the Cauvery River flows out of the Western
Ghats (hills) to the Tamil Nadu plains,
it cuts deep gorges and creates huge
rapids. It's the perfect environment
for huge mahseer. Starting at Mekhedaatu
- the Goat's Leap - and down through
the Ajibora Rapids are many pools and
holding areas. Although only lightly
fished, many large mahseer have been
caught in these stretches.

Malindi
is supremely well positioned to offer outstanding
Bluewater sport fishing, not half a mile from
the hotel. The rapid drop off into Bluewater
means an abundance of food for the oversized
predators that frequent the steep banks and
undersea mountains just off shore. Huge
Yellowfin Tuna, Tiger, Bull and hammerhead
sharks, Sailfish, Marlin, Wahoo, Dorado to
name but a few. Watamu is well-endowed with
fish amenable to fly and light-line techniques,
with large numbers of suitable species found
at 'the banks', just 3 miles up the coast
from the hotel. Bonito, yellowfin, trevally,
dorado and skipjack should keep you handsomely
occupied on most days.

fishing in the fertile waters off of
Cabo is truly spectacular all year round.
Here Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of
Cortez and the massive depth of water

of nutrience brings in enormous shoals
of Sardines , Herring and small bait
fish , pursuing these come Bonito and
Skipjacks up to 3olbs , and hunting
them are our quarry , the Marlin, Sailfish
, Tuna , Dorados and the Razor gang.

Even
though you are fishing with 1 piece 14ft surf
rods and modified boat multipliers , these
hard fighting monsters will test you to the
limit with fights of 2 hrs not uncommon and
temperatures in the mid 30s , this is probably
as hard as it gets from the shore. Where the
Chobe and Zambesi Rivers meet they form Impalila
Island at the endof which four countries (Namibia,
Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe) jointogether.
ICHINGO is on this island overlooking the
Chobe River. The nearest town is Kasane in
Northern Botswana and the Victoria Falls are
only some 80 kilometers downstream with TigerFish
lurking.
